Instructions for finding the beam
- Move sample to make sure you are not on a grid bar
- If you are using the cryostage make sure the shutter is open
- Make sure High Tension is on
- Make sure the colum valves are open
Still cannot find beam
- Slowly drop the magnification one step at a time
- Once beam is located
- Condense beam
- Center the spot
2100 only
- Press "photo" button
- microscope may think it is taking a picture
3200 only
- Make sure energy filter is not inserted
1230 only
- Make sure camera is not inserted
